Specialized Fabrication Equipment Group is an industry leader that is growing rapidly both in the US and internationally. It is staffed with high-performing and collaborate people from top to bottom.

We are seeking an HR Generalist at our Northwest Houston plant.The successful candidate will work hand-in-glove with plant management to drive excellence on a continuous basis.Prior manufacturing plant experience is valued. This role is part of the corporate HR team and the incumbent will be able to partner with team members in getting support across the full range of HR functions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Staffing, employee relations and HR compliance
  • Providing policy & procedure guidance to employees and management
  • Acting as a true business partner and collaborative part of the plant leadership team
  • Onboarding and orienting new employees
  • Periodically supporting other regional locations (two others in Houston and one in Louisiana)
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
  • 4-6 years of human resources experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field
  • Understanding of state and federal employment regulations
  • Awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance
  • Understanding of personnel and compliance records management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
  • Some travel required
  • Prior HR experience in a manufacturing plant a plus
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
