The mission of the Senior Human Resources Generalist is to support the HR Business Partner and act as a point of contact for providing employee relations and performance counseling, new hire onboarding and employee retention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with day-to-day employee relations and performance counseling. Research employee relations issues including conducting meetings with employees and supervisors. Onboard new employees and assist with New Hire Orientation. Responsible for leading and planning projects and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner. Assist with Human Resources Generalist training, as needed. Track the General Office Business Unit metrics and identify any risk areas. Support Human Resources Business Partner with employee retention initiatives and reducing employee turnover. Process new hire follow ups and new hire employee surveys. Assist with offboarding employees to include conducting exit interviews, analyzing trends in results and return of Company property. Coordinate and assist with employee engagement activities. Conduct department visits on a monthly basis. Ensure and monitor employee compliance. Oversee the maintenance of I-9s and conduct I-9 audits. Assure fair and consistent administration of all Human Resources policies and practices. Coordinate employee training and facilitate, as needed. Maintain accurate and up to date job descriptions. Assist the Benefits team as needed. May assist Talent Acquisition team with interviewing and coordinating the recruiting and hiring of staff. From time to time, fulfill strategic recruitment and public relations activities that may include planning and attending job fairs, career events, and professional networking events. Coordinate or lead other Human Resource initiatives, as assigned. College degree in Human Resource related field preferred. Requires at least two years of relevant HR Generalist/HR Coordinator experience. PHR/SHRM certification a plus but not required Knowledge of federal and state laws as they pertain to Human Resource administration. Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with applicant tracking systems.
