POSITION PURPOSE:

Under minimum supervision, assists in the development and implementation of Human Resources programs and policies for assigned department(s) or business(es).

Ideal Candidates:

Candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices and be able to apply them in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be willing to learn company policies, procedures, systems quickly. Must be able to work with highly confidential information in a professional manner. Must be a motivator and have empathy.

Responsibilities:
  • *Under moderate direction, perform professional human resources tasks to support policies and programs including recruiting, job posting, orientation, compensation, performance appraisal, job evaluation, job descriptions, benefits including annual enrollment, employee relations, organizational development, affirmative action, equal employment opportunity, complaint investigation, and HRIS.
  • *Meet with managers and employees to communicate organization goals and programs and get information regarding program needs and/or problems.
  • *With support from VP - Human Resources Investigate employee complaints and assist in their resolution.
  • *Advise managers regarding employee relations issues, assisting in compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations and the resolution of conflicts which may arise.
  • *Employee is to be flexible in their availability to meet the scheduling needs of the company.
  • *Employee is responsible for staying up to date on our security measures and policies to ensure they maintain the highest level of integrity confidentiality and privacy and all dealings associated with Opus CMC, LLC, its clients, and our clients' customers personal information.
  • *Employee is to only share PII on a need-to-know basis with those authorized to work on the account.
  • *Employee is to conduct their work and process with the highest level of quality, integrity, and privacy.
  • *Employee is accountable for their actions.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education, Experience, and Job Skills:
  • Some background in human resources or related field and willingness to learn.
  • Three to five years of direct or closely related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Sufficient experience to follow precedent for general problem solving and make recommendations or suggestions for problem resolution, and to know when supervisor's involvement is required. Can make reasonable recommendations or suggestions regarding policy and/or program development and implementation.
  • Strong computer skills on all Microsoft products, Knowledge base of employment law, employee engagement. Strong communication skills, creativity, writing and proofing skills. satisfactory performance requires considerable employee relation skills and very good knowledge of human and industrial relations technology and methodology.
Travel Requirements:
  • 10% Travel.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time. Ability to use computer keyboard and monitor for extended periods of time.
