We are on the lookout for an Accounts Payable Clerk to become a part of our team. The role is located in Miami, Florida, and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be expected to handle customer applications, maintain customer records, and address customer inquiries. This role is in the industry of Accounts Payable (AP), where you will also be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions.


Responsibilities:

• Processing customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency

• Maintaining precise records of customer credit

• Resolving customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions based on the status of the account

• Ensuring the confidentiality and security of customer information

• Collaborating with the team to improve customer service and efficiency

• Updating and maintaining accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing financial business transactions

• Compiling data and preparing a variety of reports

• Reconciling records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers

• Recommending actions to resolve discrepancies

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
  • Previous experience with bookkeeping and/or general accounting.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, specifically Accounts Payable procedures.
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
  • Knowledge of the entire Accounts Payable cycle.
