Kitchen Manager
Location: Woodbridge, NJ

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and bilingual (Spanish-speaking) Kitchen Manager to lead the back-of-house operations in a high-volume breakfast-focused restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen management, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent leadership skills. This position offers daytime hours only, making it a great opportunity for those seeking work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring consistent performance and adherence to food quality standards.
  • High-Volume Operations: Effectively manage a high-volume kitchen, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of all menu items.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
  • Food Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure the kitchen meets all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Menu Execution: Work with management to ensure all menu items are prepared to specification, maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Scheduling and Labor Management: Create efficient schedules to optimize productivity while adhering to labor cost goals.
  • Problem-Solving: Address operational challenges promptly to ensure smooth service and kitchen operations.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume restaurant, preferably breakfast or brunch-focused.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (required).
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Flexibility to work mornings and early afternoons, as this is a daytime-only position.
