LOA Administrative Specialist

The LOA Administrative Specialist will oversee the entire Leave of Absence process, from initial request to return-to-work, ensuring employees feel informed and supported every step of the way. This role requires deep knowledge of LOA policies and procedures, including FMLA, disability, and company-specific leave programs. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and able to communicate effectively with employees and management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and administer the full LOA process, including FMLA, disability, and personal leave requests.
Serve as the main point of contact for employees on leave, providing guidance and support to ensure a positive experience.
Process and track LOA requests, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely updates in the HRIS.
Communicate regularly with employees on leave to answer questions, address concerns, and provide status updates.
Collaborate with HR and management to coordinate leave schedules, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company-specific leave requirements.
Handle confidential information with discretion and comply with all data protection policies.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience managing the LOA process in an HR or benefits administration role.
Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other leave-related regulations.
Familiarity with HRIS systems and strong data management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a supportive and empathetic approach.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
Experience with employee relations or benefits administration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant HR software.
Pay Details: $23.00 to $26.00 per hour
