Job Description

In this position, you will be working directly with 2-5 others on one machine to efficiently package the finished materials as they come out of the machine. These machines are Roll Forming machines, and the main products they produce are metal shingles, siding, and gutters. Each machine will be operated by one Machine Operator II. Depending on the machine/product, you can expect to work with 2-5 other Packagers (Machine Operator I). Each product is visually quality checked to ensure no manufacturing defects are present.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, paying close attention to detail.
  • Make boxes, package, palletize, and move products.
  • Use power tools, including drills, staple guns, and other pneumatic tools.
  • Learn to operate several machines and work with different groups daily.

  • Ability to read and understand tape measures and calculators
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Ability to measure parts as part of quality checks

Work Environment

Industrial manufacturing environment. Can get warm at times and usually loud due to running machines. Must be comfortable lifting 50-75lbs on occasion. Exposed to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and heat (proper PPE & safety training provided). Not temperature controlled - doors open in summer. Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred. 1st shift: 7am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hopkins, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
