Job Description

Hockey Enthusiasts wanted. The individual in this position will be responsible for all the day-to-day responsibilities within their warehouse. This includes picking various products and packing them accordingly. This includes shipping and receiving duties - printing labels, scanning bar codes, quality assurance, and palletizing shipment for pick up. In addition, they will also be using their forklift to load/unload products as needed. If the warehouse is slow, there is always something to do, so being able to stay busy is a must. Great opportunity to work independently and own their work. Would be overseeing one other person in the warehouse. Ideally, this individual will oversee one other full-time employee and depending on work volume, 2-3 part-time individuals as well. Must be able to give and receive feedback in a professional and respectful manner. Clients will occasionally pick up orders, so customer interface and professionalism are preferred. Detail-oriented and organization are huge factors as the owner will be leaning on this person for their perspective and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Picking various products and packing them accordingly.
• Handling shipping and receiving duties - printing labels, scanning bar codes, quality assurance, and palletizing shipment for pick up.
• Using a forklift to load/unload products as needed.
• Overseeing one full-time employee and 2-3 part-time employees depending on work volume.
• Providing professional and respectful feedback.
• Interfacing with clients occasionally for order pick-ups.
• Maintaining organization and providing perspectives and feedback to the owner.

Qualifications

• 6+ months previous warehouse experience
• Good tenure with previous employers
• Forklift and shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required

Work Environment

Showroom up front with hockey equipment and attire displayed everywhere - hockey enthusiasts will feel like kids in a candy shop The warehouse is well-lit, temperature-controlled, and organized. The work schedule is 1st Shift: 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday.
