Job DescriptionJob Description

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Vendor Specialist job in Burlington, NC This is a fully on-site, direct hire position with a growing company In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing new vendors for new builds and maintaining current vendor relationships. You must be a creative problem solver, organized, adaptable and thrive in continuous change. We are looking for someone who has at least 2 years of sourcing and vendor relationship experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Source new vendors for new locations and build out bench strength for current vendors

  • Serve as the point person for any vendor issues

  • Manage new and existing vendors for 80+ locations, with roughly 15-20 vendors for each

  • Perform vendor cost analysis

  • Address vendor inquiries, concerns and feedback

  • Assess vendor performance against SLA

  • Manage contract files in VMS

  • Build rapport with vendors

  • Coordinate with internal operations and facilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred

  • At least 2 years of experience in procurement and vendor management

  • Experience with project management software (SmartSheet preferred)

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Experience with negotiation skills, ERP item management, inventory control and forecasting

  • Ability to build rapport and maintain long-term relationships.

  • Ability to show strong critical thinking to support execution of successful projects.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills



Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
