As an off-price retailer we generate more than $9B in sales through our nationwide network of stores.
As our Facilities Construction Specialist you will be instrumental in managing and executing remodel and right size capital projects within the department’s budget and working closely with the Facilities Department, Legal, Real Estate, Store Planning and Stores to ensure that the remodels and right size projects are executed per our leases and construction documents. You will manage internal and external resources while utilizing software programs (Service Channel & Lucernex & Oracle), for dispatching work orders/POs, scheduling, tracking, reporting, updating progress reports and cost tracking.
A Day in the Life
- Manage and track project schedules/milestones to ensure projects timely completion
- Continually prioritize requests according to level of urgency to remain within budget parameters
- Create vendor contracts and enforce contract compliance and manage bid process rating existing vendor performance and propose new vendors
- Manage and support Legal, Facilities and Real Estate in developing lease exhibits
- Manage internal departments in creating and maintaining their project budgets
- Drive and track pre-construction surveys needed to develop the project scope
- Manage and resolve all vendor invoicing approvals including lien wavier compliance
- Investigate and communicate project issues to Real Estate and Legal for support with Landlord and Tenant issues.
- Manage and report on vendor punch list and close out document completion status
- Manage change order process and reporting
- Create Oracle Purchase Orders and manage accounting forecasting ensuring budgets are met.
- Suggest cost saving and process improvement ideas that will impact Facilities remodel and downsize projects
You Come With
- High School diploma and 7+ years of similar experience; Bachelors in Business Administration or related field a plus
- Ability to manage/coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with Lucernex and Oracle financial programs a plus
