Job Description

Job Title: Marketing Director, Brand Strategist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Director, Brand Strategist to lead our brand marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in brand/product marketing, with experience working in the color cosmetics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
  2. Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, creative, and sales, to develop and execute successful marketing campaigns.
  3. Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities, and provide insights to inform marketing strategy.
  4. Brand Positioning and Messaging: Develop and maintain a strong brand positioning and messaging framework that resonates with our target audience.
  5. Product Launch Planning: Plan and execute product launches, including campaign development, event planning, and promotional activities.
  6. Marketing Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget to ensure effective use of resources and maximize ROI.
  7. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  2. Experience: 7+ years of experience in brand/product marketing roles in the color cosmetics industry.
  3. Skills: Strong marketing strategy development and execution skills, with experience working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Qualifications: BA/BS; Master's degree a plus. 7+ years of experience in brand/product marketing roles in color cosmetics. Experience working directly with C-Level Executives, Board of Directors, and/or Founders. Ability to synthesize market data and leverage insights to provide solutions. Collaborative leadership skills. Project management skills. Entrepreneurial mindset. Ability to handle multiple projects at one time. Quantitative data analysis skills. Experience leading cross-functional teams, including project management (e.g. timeline/key milestone development). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting without ready-made processes.
