About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Engineer to join our team at FormFactor. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting grinding-related processes in our MEMS fab, owning various metrology tools, and contributing to Continuous Improvement (CIP) efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for grinding process and metrology, ensuring seamless manufacturing operations.
  • Act as the owner of metrology tools in the planarization area, responsible for installation, qualification, and sustainment.
  • Develop and implement statistical process control (SPC) for the planarization process, monitoring and reporting results to drive yield improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with design, integration, reliability, and R&D teams to facilitate the transition of new designs from development to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Ensure proper documentation of process instructions and assist in technical training for operation staff.
Requirements
  • A master's or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent discipline (Ph.D. preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience working in the MEMS or semiconductor industry with direct experience in developing and/or supporting manufacturing processes.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with expertise in statistical process control (SPC) and data mining (SQL query and coding skills).
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally to meet company and departmental objectives.
