Position Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing the Dedicated Fleet operations, providing essential support to the Project Manager as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fosters positive and supportive relationships with all drivers.
  • Maintains ongoing communication regarding service challenges with relevant personnel and departments, both within NFI and with external customers.
  • Handles load planning, driver scheduling, and dispatching tasks utilizing both Dedicated Fleet and Common Carrier resources.
  • Oversees daily data entry into NFI's proprietary order management system, TMW.
  • Collaborates with the home-office invoicing team to ensure prompt and precise completion of weekly customer invoices.
  • Guarantees the accurate and timely execution of daily and weekly responsibilities.
  • Delivers weekly KPI and performance data reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinates daily scheduling for truck and trailer maintenance.
  • Works alongside the safety department on DriveCam, driver compliance, and Hours of Service (HOS) matters.
  • Assists the Project Manager in implementing NFI's Safety, Security, and Labor policies.
  • Provides coverage across departments during vacations and holidays as necessary.
  • Manages and oversees driver payroll processes.
  • Reviews and approves driver expense reports.
  • Offers support to the Project Manager whenever required.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in logistics and/or transportation is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office and TMW, is highly desirable.
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Capability to work efficiently while multitasking.
  • Willingness and availability to work extended hours if necessary.
