Overview:


The Finance Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring that financial transactions are executed accurately and promptly, adhering to all relevant institutional, state, and federal regulations, policies, and guidelines.

This position is primarily responsible for handling routine tasks related to travel, procurement, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and asset management.

Additionally, the Finance Associate manages cash handling, warrant requests, internal charge processing, and the reconciliation of revenue and expense transactions.

Collaboration is key, as the Finance Associate will work closely with departmental employees and functional office staff, delivering exceptional customer service and professionalism in all interactions.

This role operates under close supervision and is expected to leverage technology to provide efficient professional services.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
High school diploma plus 2 years of relevant finance experience; equivalent education or experience will be considered. Proficiency or training in Microsoft applications is required. A demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new hardware and software systems is essential.

Proven ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with regulations, including HIPAA and FERPA guidelines regarding information disclosure.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary. The ability to build and maintain positive relationships within and outside of reporting lines is essential. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a team-oriented environment. Familiarity with SAP or large integrated finance systems is advantageous. Knowledge of finance terminology and practices is preferred. Understanding of federal and state laws and guidelines related to business practices is beneficial.

Posted Salary:
$17.876/hr minimum
