Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to become a vital part of our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in construction finance, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to fostering business success through effective financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all general accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax compliance.
2. Collaborate with the finance team and project managers to develop budget forecasts and conduct cost analyses.
3. Maintain and reconcile ledgers regularly.
4. Prepare and interpret financial reports, profit forecasts, and other financial documents.
5. Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy.
6. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax obligations.
7. Identify financial risks and opportunities for the organization.
8. Supervise and mentor the accounting team.
9. Develop strategies to enhance accounting operations and support the company’s financial objectives.
10. Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure financial clarity and efficiency across all projects.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. At least 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting position, ideally within the construction sector.
3. Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
4. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
5. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
6. Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
7. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
9. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
10. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
