Position Details:

We are looking for a proactive and tech-savvy individual to fill the role of Technical Support Specialist. This position is essential for providing support to our finance team by managing and troubleshooting various computer systems and networks. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver first-level IT support to staff, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and systems.
  • Install, configure, and oversee computer hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network, system, and application issues, collaborating with the IT team as needed.
  • Maintain and update IT inventory, ensuring optimal functionality of all systems.
  • Develop and implement IT procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide training to staff on new technologies as required.
  • Assist in safeguarding system security and data privacy.
  • Monitor and respond to IT requests through the helpdesk platform.
  • Conduct regular backups and system recovery processes.
  • Work with the IT team to plan for future upgrades and technology requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an IT support capacity, preferably within the finance sector.
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and technology applications.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Familiarity with IT protocols and procedures, including security and data privacy measures.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.
  • Experience with help desk software and remote support tools.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Willingness to stay informed about the latest technology trends relevant to the industry.
