Position Summary
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, organization, and management of significant college events, while also supporting the Office of the President and the broader campus community in various projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary liaison between the Office of the President and essential administrators and departments, facilitating strategic planning for campus events and projects.
  • Oversee the complete planning and execution of major campus events, including managing timelines and budgets, establishing event objectives, negotiating contracts, selecting and managing external vendors, and collaborating with on-campus departments as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to provide leadership and professional expertise for events, serving as a resource for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Coordinate the President's participation in significant events and manage all activities at the President's House.
  • Supervise the Presidential Student Ambassadors program.
  • Assist the Special Assistant to the President with planning and logistics for Board of Trustees meetings and other special events.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives that engage key staff across the College and external stakeholders, including receptions for admitted students.
  • Participate in strategic college projects as assigned by the President or the Special Assistant to the President.
  • Co-chair the Campus Events Committee, alongside a faculty co-chair, overseeing the budget and leading the committee in evaluating funding requests.
  • Develop and maintain centralized and long-term campus calendars for annual events.

Work Environment
This position typically operates in an office setting, with occasional evening and weekend work required.

Physical Requirements
May involve lifting 10-25 pounds and performing tasks that require walking and bending.

Travel Requirements
Some travel may be necessary.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
