Sales and Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales & Business Development Manager to join our team at ALH Building Systems in Markle, IN, US. As a top producer of structural wood framing components, we provide innovative solutions for diverse projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, formulating business strategies, and overseeing project outcomes through effective communication with clients and on-site teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute strategic plans to acquire new leads, expand the customer base, and achieve sales targets
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and support
- Conduct meetings with potential and existing customers to discuss their framing needs and propose tailored solutions
- Collaborate with framing crews and other key stakeholders to monitor project progress, address issues, and ensure timely completion within budget
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and business decisions
- Work closely with the design and estimating teams to ensure accurate project proposals, quotes, and contracts
- Provide leadership and direction to the sales team, setting clear goals and performance metrics to drive accountability and results
- A bachelor's degree in business, construction management, or a related field
- Experience in sales within the construction industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Strong understanding of wood framing construction processes, materials, and market requirements
- Wood Species Identification: Recognizing different species of wood and understanding their unique characteristics and typical uses
- Measurement and Dimensions: Proficiency in measuring lumber, including knowledge of board feet, linear feet, thickness, width, and length
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport with clients and team members
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and site visits
