Position Overview:

As a Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in driving revenue by providing exceptional client services, building relationships, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment. You will consistently achieve individual goals that support store objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Embody our company values and set an example through your behavior.
  • Ensure compliance with all Knitwell Group practices and procedures.
  • Assist with additional responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager, Co-Manager, and Sales Leads.
Revenue Generation:
  • Meet or exceed divisional, store, and individual financial and credit goals while contributing to the store's overall objectives.
Client Experience:
  • Provide outstanding client service by anticipating needs, exceeding expectations, and adhering to Knitwell Group service standards.
  • Build relationships with clients, create loyalty, and multitask while servicing internal and external clients.
  • Address client concerns, resolve issues when possible, and involve management when necessary.
  • Portray a gracious, friendly, energetic, and engaging manner, and be respectful and professional at all times.
  • Take ownership, solicit feedback for growth, and consistently receive positive, unsolicited client feedback.
  • Communicate effectively with store management, team members, and external clients in person, through written correspondence, and over the phone.
  • Build collaborative and productive relationships by sharing ideas, treating others fairly, with respect, and valuing differences.
  • Embody our company values and behaviors, and inspire the team by leading by example through your words and actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies, practices, and procedures, and all federal, state, and local laws.
Operations:
  • Complete opening and closing procedures and tasks as directed by the Leadership Team, with a focus on client satisfaction (e.g., replenishing merchandise, recovering the store, and styling rooms).
  • Meet merchandise processing standards and maintain an organized and accessible work area.
  • Adhere to Loss Prevention practices and be aware of and report potential incidents to ensure shortage control and protect company assets.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and report any potential hazards to store management.
  • Participate in and assist with the preparation for the store's inventory.
  • Report to work as scheduled, record time worked accurately using the Time and Attendance system, and remain flexible to meet business needs.
  • Follow all Knitwell Group operational guidelines, processes, and procedures.
  • Review Bulletin Boards daily.
Technical Expertise:
  • Demonstrate a desire and ability to be learner-responsible and navigate the Knitwell Group computer learning systems.
  • Perform register transactions quickly and efficiently (e.g., sales, returns, exchanges, payments).
  • Be proficient in using Distributed Order Maintenance (DOM's) and StyleFinder to locate product for clients and process transactions accurately.
  • Operate the phone, answering calls with an appropriate greeting, transferring, and placing calls on hold.
  • Operate and understand the functions of the Point of Sale (PDT) system.
Product/Brand Management:
  • Understand and clearly articulate the Company's brand positioning, including the uniqueness of all expressions of Knitwell Group, current marketing and promotional initiatives, markdowns, POS events, Bounce Back promotions, coupon events, lifestyle concepts to internal and external clients.
  • Live the Knitwell Group Purpose, Values & Behaviors, Practices in all interactions.
  • Participate in and attend Store Meetings.
  • Proactively use associate education tools to build product and styling knowledge with peers.
  • Embrace fashion, understand current market trends, and articulate them using Knitwell Group interpretations in every client interaction. Represent the brand by adhering to Knitwell Group's dress code guidelines.
  • Packages and wraps client purchases according to Knitwell Group standards.
Position Requirements:
  • Client Service: Ability to function as a role model, ensuring the client remains the top priority. Take initiative to build a loyal client base.
  • Follow Directions: Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines as assigned with minimal supervision and within designated timeframes.
  • Merchandising: Knowledge of visual standards and techniques, and ability to implement and maintain with Knitwell Group's guidelines.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with Clients, Members of Management, Business Partners, and Store Associates.
  • Accuracy: Ability to handle cash and provide change without error.
  • Schedule: Remain flexible in scheduling that meets the needs of the business.
  • Physical: Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally. Maneuver effectively around the sales floor and stock room.
Educational Requirements and Experience:
  • Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum one year sales associate or relevant experience in the services industry with proven results.
