About the Role

CannonDesign is seeking a seasoned leader to drive the growth and success of our Mental/Behavioral Health Sub-Market. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a business plan that leverages market intelligence to drive future growth strategies, resource needs, and brand opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a business plan focused on future growth strategies, resource needs, and brand opportunities that position the submarket for the future.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating commitment to our clients by undertaking work in an active way on select client project opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director, Regional Process Director, Office Practice Leader, and Market Leaders to ensure that the business plan bottom line initiatives are successfully implemented.
  • Act as a leading voice for the submarket both externally and internally, visible in speaking events, writing, and other activities that promote the firm and our work.
  • Identify future market trends and opportunities for growth and advancement of the submarket, demonstrating a high level of knowledge of the market, including best practices, and evidence-based and research-based design.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
  • Current Registration/Licensure in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering preferred.
  • Additional certifications and/or training relevant to this role are preferred.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience with a proven track record of strategic growth, market and team leadership, and business development success in the Mental/Behavioral Market.
  • Strong presentations skills are essential.
  • Exceptional client and people leadership skills required.
  • Strong business acumen and proven ability to create and execute strategy is needed.
  • Professional acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully is essential.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing, accountable teams.
  • Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment and a sound approach regarding risk management and mitigation.
