About the Role

Neighborhood Health Center, WNY is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our mental health department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior medical leaders to design and implement a comprehensive psychiatry program that meets the needs of our patients and aligns with the organization's goals.
  • Provide short and long-term psychotherapy, as well as medication management, to patients across all age spectrums.
  • Offer counseling services to individuals and families, addressing a range of mental health concerns.
  • Supervise a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, ensuring effective treatment and care for patients.
  • Develop and maintain accurate patient databases, incorporating health, developmental, and psychosocial histories, as well as screening and diagnostic procedures.
  • Provide treatment in accordance with APA Practice Guidelines and agency standards, ensuring consistency and quality of care.
  • Consult with other healthcare providers to manage complex mental health cases, promoting comprehensive care.
  • Participate in on-call coverage, documenting all interactions and interventions.
  • Contribute to the development of protocols for consistent care, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized four-year medical school, with completion of residency in an appropriate field (e.g., internal medicine, OB/GYN, pediatrics, or psychiatry).
  • Current NYS physician license and board eligibility/certification in the field of specialty.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salary range: $250,000-$300,000 per year (based on a full-time, 40-hour work week). Individual compensation may vary based on factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position-related components.
