Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Executive Assistant to support the Mayor and City Council in the Legislative Department. The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Mayor and City Council, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and handling correspondence.
  • Coordinate and maintain complex records, handle phone calls, and greet visitors.
  • Operate a computer to produce confidential reports, correspondence, and other documents.
  • File and retrieve materials and data from department computerized and manual filing systems.
  • Attend City meetings and functions as required by the Mayor and City Council.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or two years of college coursework required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Three years of progressively responsible administrative work, with some experience in the public sector preferred.
  • Considerable experience in working with the general public.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in communicating with diverse communities, and in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships.
