Benefits Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Specialist to join our dynamic People Team at Apex Systems. This role will report to the Director, Global Benefits and team, and will be responsible for the administration of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance plans, 401(k), and all other benefits and perks.
Key Responsibilities- Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance plans, 401(k), and all other benefits and perks.
- Provide benefits expertise when engaging with team members and partners across the organization to support our team.
- Vendor Management
- Participate in vendor management activities, including day-to-day oversight, regular status calls, process improvement initiatives.
- Employee Support
- Provide day-to-day support activities, including assisting employees with questions and resolution of benefits matters.
- Benefits Administration
- Oversee COBRA and Adjunct administration through third-party administrator.
- Conduct new hire benefits orientation.
- Benefits Communication
- Support the annual benefits open enrollment process, including working with vendors and brokers/consultants to manage employee communications, presenting benefits plans to all employees, gathering and analyzing data, and preparing recommendations.
- Benefits Strategy
- Provide recommendations on current and potential benefit programs to make the benefits program more competitive.
- Internal Partnerships
- Partner with internal partners such as Payroll, People Systems, People Team, Legal, and Finance on renewals, benefit program implementations, and other areas related to benefits administration.
- Benefits Administration
- Manage the benefits email inbox and respond timely to inquiries and/or forward to the appropriate benefits personnel for resolution.
- Oversee the reconciliation of benefits invoices to ensure enrollment and budget accuracy.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other Benefits/People team projects as needed.
- Must come from a benefits background.
- Must be able to inquire from employees about our benefits and speak to vendors to troubleshoot.
