Position Title
Clinical Account Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic business clinician responsible for cultivating and sustaining customer relationships while leading account teams across all designated accounts. This role focuses on delivering measurable value to clients by identifying, showcasing, and promoting effective pharmaceutical care and cost solutions that align with customer objectives. Responsibilities include overall account management, including P&L oversight, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver customer-focused pharmacy services.
  • Oversee account satisfaction for all assigned clients.
  • Establish strong connections with pharmacy departments or designated customer representatives.
  • Guide operations account managers in addressing customer service challenges and ensuring compliance with performance standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of contracts with assigned clients, ensuring ongoing performance through risk management strategies.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to foster long-term, profitable partnerships.
  • Guarantee timely and consistent delivery of all customer and account-facing services.
  • Demonstrate the advantages of pharmacy solutions, including cost management and patient care improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services to meet unmet customer needs.
  • Provide clinical operations support for client-specific claims processing and coordinate clinical project implementations.
  • Assist with elevated customer service and prior authorization inquiries related to assigned accounts.
  • Manage financial aspects of accounts to meet revenue targets and control costs.
  • Ensure contract compliance through effective risk management practices.
  • Identify and develop pharmacy products and service requirements based on a thorough understanding of each client's strategic goals.
  • Proactively promote pharmacy program solutions and ensure seamless transitions to sales and relationship management for contract execution.
  • Support sales and account management in renewal processes for assigned accounts.
  • Manage talent by identifying and retaining high-performing team members.
  • Facilitate ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in pharmacy, managed care, or pharmacy benefit management.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a leadership capacity.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required.
  • Master's degree in Pharmacy is preferred.
Certifications
  • Registered Pharmacist (RPH) certification is required.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and state licensure are preferred.
