Position Overview

WSP is actively seeking a full-time Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Hydropower Protection and Control. This role is integral to our Clean Energy Business Line, contributing to projects that address Climate Change through innovative hydropower solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in the design and delivery of protection and control systems for hydropower facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to execute projects from initial concept through to construction, including procurement and quality control.
  • Prepare detailed project specifications and maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct site inspections and resolve queries during the construction phase, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
  • Support business development initiatives within the hydropower sector, fostering relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electrical design and engineering.
  • Proficiency in electrical engineering principles and familiarity with modern electric power systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in consulting firms and projects related to renewable energy sources.

Compensation
  • Expected Salary Range: $100,000 - $160,000
