Key Responsibilities:
As an Estimator - Electrical, your duties will include:

  • Creating comprehensive cost estimates for electrical systems, encompassing materials, labor, and time requirements.
  • Evaluating project plans and specifications to define the scope of work.
  • Conducting regular risk assessments to identify potential cost overruns and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather essential data for estimates.
  • Preparing and presenting detailed bidding documents to clients and stakeholders.
  • Negotiating contracts and material purchases to secure cost-effective solutions.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, market conditions, and updates in electrical codes and standards.
  • Assisting in the development of budget forecasts and project timelines.
  • Continuously assessing the effectiveness of estimating methods and tools, recommending enhancements as needed.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical and construction estimating.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as Accubid, ConEst, or similar.
  • A strong grasp of electrical systems, construction techniques, and industry standards.
  • Exceptional analytical and mathematical abilities for accurate estimate creation.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective interaction with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • The capability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • A proven history of generating successful estimates that contribute to profitable projects.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Professional certification in estimating or a related field is advantageous.
