Job Opportunity

Hildebrand is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Assistant to join our team in providing essential support services to families experiencing homelessness.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Promote a Safe and Welcoming Environment**: Ensure the overall safety and well-being of families in residence at the Hildebrand congregate shelter by maintaining a clean, harmonious, and welcoming living environment.
  • **Room Maintenance and Organization**: Ensure each family has a safe, clean, and adequately furnished room, and oversee the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility during assigned work periods.
  • **Policy Enforcement and Compliance**: Oversee and monitor all rules, policies, procedures, and protocols governing community living for families and their visitors, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • **Supportive Re-Housing Plans**: Collaborate with the Residential Manager and/or Case Manager to develop and implement comprehensive Re-Housing Plans to assist families in achieving self-sufficiency and independence.
  • **Staff Meetings and Training**: Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and other activities to stay up-to-date on program functions and required skills.
Requirements
  • **Education**: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • **Experience**: Previous experience in Human Services or Residential Program settings.
  • **Skills**: Ability to work well with clients, family members, and colleagues, ensuring client confidentiality and professionalism in the workplace. Ability to lift 25 pounds and navigate stairs independently.
  • **Certification**: Must be CPR/SFA Certified within 30 days of hire.
  • **Language**: Bilingual Haitian Creole or Spanish preferred.
