Therapeutic Support Specialist

At Cambridge Eating Disorder Center, we recognize the vital role of our Residential Counselors in fostering a supportive environment for individuals seeking recovery. We are currently in search of dedicated Full-Time Residential Counselors to enhance our compassionate team.
As a Full-Time Residential Counselor, you will engage in five 8-hour shifts, enjoying competitive health and dental benefits, paid time off, and opportunities for overtime.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related discipline (preferred)
- Experience in the field of eating disorders (preferred)
- Proficient in multitasking
- Collaborative team player
- Exudes positivity and confidence in a dynamic setting
- Excellent written communication skills in a clinical context
- Able to work autonomously
- Outgoing and energetic demeanor
- Availability for weekend shifts and rotating schedules
- Open to diverse dietary options
Key Responsibilities of a Residential Counselor:
- Facilitate therapeutic group sessions tailored to your expertise
- Offer individualized support to patients navigating daily obstacles
- Encourage constructive relationships among patients
- Accurately monitor and document patient vitals
- Oversee patient activities, including mealtimes and restroom use
- Accompany patients to medical appointments as required
- Assist in meal preparation and supervise dining experiences
- Foster a nurturing environment during meal times
- Document patient behaviors and maintain effective communication with the treatment team
- Participate in regular supervision meetings
Availability Expectations:
- Willingness to work during holidays
