Key Responsibilities:
- Develop specifications for die design related to new product initiatives.
- Implement enhancements to improve die quality in production.
- Collaborate with design engineers to revise and maintain HVAC product designs, leveraging engineering principles to support design project teams.
- Utilize lean manufacturing methodologies to identify cost reduction opportunities, enhance quality, and improve workflow efficiency.
- Manage project timelines for product launches, design reviews, and modifications.
- Document die designs, including bills of materials, cost analyses, and technical drawings.
- Establish and execute continuous improvement goals.
- Provide mentorship and supervision to junior engineers and support staff.
- Analyze production efficiency and provide feedback for process optimization.

Nature & Scope:
This role involves collaboration with the Fabrication and Production departments as well as the Design Engineering team to support both residential and commercial HVAC products.

Knowledge & Skills Required:
- In-depth understanding of manufacturing engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in at least two of the following areas: Molding, Finishing, Tooling, Fabrication/Stamping of metals, Assembly processes, or Product Engineering support.
- Familiarity with HVAC industry specifications and standards is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts, including Kaizen, value stream mapping, and Kanban.
- Expertise in manufacturing documentation such as PFMEAs, PCPs, PFDs, DFA/DFM, and engineering change processes.
- Proficient in software tools including MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and project management applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective project management and communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly across all organizational levels.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration within teams.

Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years in a production or manufacturing engineering role.
- At least 6 years of experience in product design within an HVAC assembly environment, or related fields such as automotive or appliance industries.

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
- Six Sigma certification is preferred.
