Job Summary:
In the role of Loan Operations Team Leader at CoBank, you will oversee a dedicated team responsible for comprehensive portfolio management activities related to association services and transactions. You will serve as the primary escalation point for Loan Operations, providing specialized operational and customer support to our Farm Credit Partners and other internal stakeholders, including Operations, Farm Credit Banking Group (FCBG), Credit, Treasury, Cash Management Services, and Farm Credit Leasing (FCL).

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee workflow and balance team responsibilities to ensure timely processing of assigned activities, meeting or exceeding client expectations.

2. Ensure a robust operating environment by maintaining accurate transaction processing, proper documentation, and adherence to established policies and procedures.

3. Offer guidance and direction to the team, leveraging in-depth knowledge of CoBank processes and loan operations principles.

4. Provide expertise in onboarding, servicing, and managing In-District Association Direct Notes and Out-of-District Settlement Lines for various financial products, with a strong understanding of ACBS, CoReports, and Treasury Connect system logic.

5. Coordinate and deliver training for the Association Servicing Team and Loan Operations department as necessary.

6. Supervise staff by setting performance standards, monitoring progress, providing ongoing feedback, and recommending personnel actions as needed.

7. Track and report on activity volume, performance metrics, Service Level Agreements, and key performance indicators; identify trends and recommend improvements.

8. Actively seek continuous improvement opportunities to enhance processes and systems. Participate in requirements gathering, define user stories, conduct user acceptance testing, and update procedures to support changes.

9. Serve as Mission Critical Personnel for business continuity and staffing scenarios.

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a relevant field preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Loan Operations and/or Association Servicing Support, with at least 3 years in general commercial loan servicing practices. Prior experience with the Farm Credit System is advantageous.

Skills:
1. Proficient in personal computers and software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets, ACBS, Settlement Engine, CoReports, and Treasury Connect.

2. Excellent customer service skills and strong oral and written communication abilities are essential.

3. Comprehensive knowledge of Association Direct Note configuration and reconciliation.

Physical Requirements:
This position is primarily sedentary, requiring occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force. Most activities involve sitting, with occasional walking or standing.

Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel may be required, typically once a month or less.
