The Job

The Mad Greens Shift Leader is enthusiastic and passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. This role is accountable for opening and closing the restaurant as needed, providing ongoing support to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager when in the restaurant. You'll work with the public and internal team members, driving the Mad Greens culture of having fun and contributing to the collaborative spirit of the team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Restaurant: Effectively lead the restaurant while the General Manager and Assistant General Manager are not present.
  • Train and Develop Team Members: Responsible for monitoring the training and development of existing and new team members while on shift, including Mad Greens operational policies and procedures, cash handling, and safety/security procedures to ensure the safety of all team members during each shift.
  • Delegate Duties: Lead each shift by delegating duties and assigned tasks and follow up with team members.
  • Greet Guests: Greet guests to make them feel comfortable and welcome.
  • Prepare Food Items: Assist in preparation of food items, including prepping menu items using equipment like knives, juicer, grill, oven, food processor, and blenders.
  • Check Food Quality: Check food quality and food temperatures throughout the day to ensure that food is fresh and safe to serve.
  • Follow Sanitation and Safety Procedures: Follow sanitation and safety procedures, including knife handling and kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant and ensure proper opening and closing procedures are being followed in the entire restaurant, including the dining room, restrooms, kitchen, and prep areas.
  • Handle Transactions: Ensure that team members take guests' orders and handle accurate cash and credit transactions.
  • Demonstrate Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and menu items.
  • Handle Guest Concerns: Effectively handle guest concerns and complaints and escalate them to the appropriate person in Management.
  • Prepare the Restaurant: Direct the team to prepare the restaurant for each shift.
  • Act with Integrity: Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture of Mad Greens.
  • Attend Regularly: Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Contribute to a Positive Team Environment: Contribute to a positive team environment.

  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 10 lbs and stand for long periods of time on scheduled shifts.
