Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Loan Partner to join our team at Bear Mortgage Inc. As a key member of our mortgage industry team, you will play a crucial role in helping our applicants get mortgage ready and supporting them throughout the loan process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Handle all customer and in-house inquiries about transactions to ensure a smooth process and provide excellent service.
  • Client Relations: Act as the primary contact between our clients and our company, scheduling and conducting meetings to discuss follow-up issues or items that need to be addressed.
  • Loan Package Accuracy: Check all loan package documents for complete accuracy and submit any discrepancies to the loan officer/loan originator.
  • Documentation Coordination: Coordinate and prepare documentation necessary for verifications and underwriting, such as loan files, loan packages, credit reports, and additional mortgage application paperwork.
  • Lead Management: Manage all leads from Intake to Disclosed milestone.
  • Borrower Education: Ensure borrowers understand all aspects of loan features and the loan process.
  • Pre-Approval: Pre-approve borrowers.
  • Loan Submission: Ensure loans are ready for submission to the Loan Partner II: Disclosures, Proper Documentation, etc.
  • Outbound Sales: Make outbound sales calls to warm leads, cold calls, and past client check-ins.
  • Relationship Building: Communicate with referral partners, current/past clients, listing, and selling agents to uphold relationships.
Requirements:
  • NMLS License: Although not required, having an NMLS license or training is preferred.
  • Experience: Preferably 5+ years of experience in a professional office or mortgage environment as a mortgage loan officer assistant or similar position.
  • Education: Preferred degree in banking or finance, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Skills: Highly motivated and goal-oriented with excellent customer service and communication skills. Possess an advanced understanding of different loan products, such as conventional loans, FHA, VA, adjustable/fixed, commercial loans, etc.
  • Phone Comfort: Must be comfortable on the phone.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • NMLS License: NMLS license preferred.
  • Mortgage Experience: 2 years of mortgage experience preferred, including an understanding of different loan products, such as conventional, FHA, and VA loans – Willing to train for the right candidate.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Work Schedule: Ability to work 40 hours per week with potential for overtime.
