Sales Manager Job Description

At SPX, we are seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth in the Marine Americas region. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, building strong relationships with customers and partners, and leading a team of sales professionals to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and grow existing channels to market
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners to drive business growth and customer satisfaction
  • Lead a team of sales professionals to deliver exceptional results and achieve sales targets
  • Manage sales budgets and forecasts to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting
  • Travel routinely throughout the territory to support sales team, attend trade shows and conferences, and build relationships with customers and partners
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or experience in industry sector - Marine
  • Experienced sales professional with a history of new business development and strong sales management experience
  • Proven experience with Government contracts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer service orientation/relationship building skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel routinely throughout territory
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical ability to run Master Classes (Product Training) for Agents, Distributors, Customers and End Users
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
