Digital Sales Manager Job Description

Hearst Television is seeking a highly skilled Digital Sales Manager to lead our digital sales initiatives. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing and executing sales strategies, and building strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Revenue Growth: Develop and implement individual advertiser account strategies to achieve revenue goals.
  • Sales Team Leadership: Regularly meet with local sales team members to ensure their professional development and success with stated goals.
  • Sales Planning: Lead weekly sales meetings and quarterly/annual sales planning meetings in partnership with the Local Sales Manager.
  • Client Relationships: Meet extensively with clients to develop and strengthen business relationships, drive client retention, and respond to RFP requests.
  • Sales Presentations: Support local sellers in sales presentations to multiple points of contact with client/agency personnel.
  • Non-Traditional Revenue: Develop and generate non-traditional revenue and new sales initiatives.
  • Expense Budget Management: Manage various expense budgets related to digital initiatives.
  • Training and Development: Provide training to local and national sellers.
Requirements:
  • Digital Marketing Strategies: Have a complete understanding of current digital marketing strategies, including synergies with other media.
  • Pricing and Inventory Management: Understand pricing and inventory management principles.
  • RFP Response: Ability to dissect an advertising RFP, identify key revenue opportunities, and prepare comprehensive and winning responses.
  • Prospecting and Closing: Ability to prospect, meet with, and close business with new station clients.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Possess the skills to manage and supervise others.
Qualifications:
  • Communication Skills: Strong formal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Wide Orbit, Kantar, and One Domain/WO Media Office.
  • Reliability: Valid driver's license and reliable automobile required.
