Job Title: Digital Sales Manager

At Hearst Television, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for leading our digital sales initiatives and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individual advertiser account strategies to achieve revenue goals.
  • Lead weekly sales meetings and quarterly/annual sales planning meetings in partnership with the Local Sales Manager.
  • Evaluate seller performance and provide feedback to ensure professional development and success.
  • Act as primary negotiator for the station on all digital business, reviewing key sales proposals to ensure client goals are achieved.
  • Meet with clients to develop and strengthen business relationships, driving client retention.
  • Develop and generate non-traditional revenue and new sales initiatives.
  • Manage various expense budgets related to digital initiatives.
  • Work in partnership with the Local Sales Manager and National Sales Manager to achieve stated and strategic goals.
  • Provide training to Local and National sellers.
  • Maintain current and accurate revenue forecasts by account.
  • Review and approve new insertion orders.
  • Prepare and present various reports.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of current digital marketing strategies and synergies with other media.
  • Understanding of pricing and inventory management principles.
  • Ability to dissect an advertising RFP and prepare a comprehensive and winning response.
  • Ability to prospect, meet with, and close business with new station clients.
  • Possess the skills to manage and supervise others.
Qualifications:
  • Strong formal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, with Wide Orbit, Kantar, and One Domain/WO Media Office a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable automobile required.
