Job Overview

Position Title: Training Support Specialist (Military)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the upkeep of training sites, ensuring readiness for events through tasks such as Daily Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) according to the specified -10 TM guidelines for all vehicles and equipment.
  • Oversee the setup and dismantling of all training equipment utilized in field operations.
  • Conduct minor repairs and restoration on equipment and vehicles, including rust removal and touch-up painting.
  • Perform seasonal maintenance on training sites, including maintaining berms and conducting gravel patching.
  • Notify the site manager of any equipment needing corrective maintenance during PMCS.

Qualifications Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous military experience as an E5 with a minimum of five (5) years in MOS 92F.
  • Ability to perform tasks that involve moderate lifting (up to 45 lbs.), prolonged standing, sitting, or walking, and working in varying weather conditions.
  • Must complete military licensing training within five (5) business days of starting this role.
  • Capability to lift at least 50 lbs without assistance.

Security Clearance: Must possess or obtain a NACI Clearance and maintain the necessary security clearance throughout the contract duration.

Work Environment: This position is based in a professional classroom and office setting, utilizing standard office equipment regularly.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods while delivering training.
  • Must be capable of maneuvering in and out of strategic and tactical equipment, and lifting and moving electronic equipment exceeding 40 lbs in classroom and lab settings.

Position Type and Work Schedule:

This is a full-time role with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Workdays exclude federal holidays or when government facilities are closed due to emergencies or administrative reasons.

Travel Requirements: May involve travel within the continental United States.

  • Proof of U.S. citizenship may be required.
  • Must maintain a U.S. Government issued NACI Clearance following a background check.
