Job Overview

Position Title: Training Support Specialist – Culinary Operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily management, upkeep, and tracking of all tools, facilities, and materials utilized in support of MOS 92G culinary training.
  • Handle equipment related to Mobile Kitchen Trailers, Containerized Kitchens, Food Sanitation Centers, Modern Burner Units, M59 Ranges, 2KW Generators, and other culinary support systems; manage fuel operations for vehicles and stationary machinery; report and monitor the status of maintenance requests, site enhancements, facility upkeep, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct operational checks and maintenance on the aforementioned equipment as well as on 5-Ton and High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV).

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English proficiently.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Required to have all necessary training and certifications.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Proficient in office automation tasks, including word processing, email communication, spreadsheets, presentations, and various personal computer applications; capable of typing diverse materials from rough drafts to final versions, including correspondence, reports, and forms; adept at maintaining records, historical documents, survey results, and reference libraries; skilled in establishing and managing office functional and reference files; knowledgeable in knowledge management practices.

Security Clearance: Must successfully pass a NA/CI background check.

Work Environment:

Standard working hours are from 0800 to 1700, with staggered schedules to facilitate classroom availability from 0700 to 1800, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays or when the facility is closed due to emergencies or administrative reasons.

  • This position typically requires light work, with occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds or more, and the ability to carry supplies and equipment.

  • Clear communication skills and a strong understanding of the English language are essential.
  • Work is primarily conducted in an indoor environment.

Travel Requirements:

Travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) may be necessary to fulfill tasks and requirements.
