Position Overview:

This role is situated within the Department of Revenue. Responsibilities include acting as the primary resource for other Property Valuation Specialists (PVS) while managing and overseeing various property appraisal and assessment support activities. The individual will coordinate and execute field audit tasks to aid in data research, verification, calculation, and processing as per established division protocols, alongside general office and program support functions. This position does not entail supervising other personnel.

The ideal candidate will operate from a designated field office but may be required to travel extensively, depending on workload demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application of appraisal and personal property best practices
  • Management of Realty Transfer Certificates (RTC)
  • Facilitation of mobile home ownership transfers and splits
  • Adherence to office protocols and procedures
  • Compliance with state and departmental policies
  • Conducting thorough research and analysis
  • Ensuring accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
  • Resolving conflicts and providing mentorship
  • Utilizing Microsoft applications and other database systems
  • Exhibiting strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Work Environment:

  • Work hours may occasionally exceed 40 hours, including weekends.
  • Office-based environment.
  • Minimal lifting required, generally under 15 pounds.
  • Some travel may be necessary; a valid driver's license is required.
