Position Overview
This role is designed for a senior tax professional.

The ideal candidate will possess technical proficiency with expert knowledge and experience in one or more specialized areas, as well as demonstrate leadership capabilities.

JCCS, P.C. team members take pride in delivering exceptional client service, providing business consulting, and fostering a positive work environment characterized by courtesy and respect for clients, customers, and fellow team members.


Key Responsibilities:
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client, staff, and internal operations information during and after employment with JCCS, P.C.

Proactively seek complex, specialized accounting projects from other professionals.


Assume additional responsibilities in specific areas of accounting interest, such as budgeting, investments, and information systems, to become certified/licensed in those fields.


Delegate, supervise, and review complex tax/audit, accounting, and other functions performed by staff, ensuring quality control.

Utilize technical expertise to participate in JCCS, P.C. committees and lead teams.

Adhere to established work hours, scheduling, and billable time expectations. Employees are expected to work additional hours and/or overtime as required by client demands, high volume workloads, and seasonal peaks.

Perform other duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned.

Complete tax returns under the supervision of a manager or shareholder.

Identify opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients while enhancing the customer experience.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution

Licensed C.P.A. by the Montana State Board of Public Accountants

5+ years of experience (public accounting experience required)

Skills for Success:
Proficient in commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting field

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets

Ability to problem-solve and think independently

Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills


Capacity to take full responsibility for the quality of work, delegate, supervise, and review the work of others while ensuring quality standards are met.
