Job Summary:
Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a highly skilled Sales and Service Manager to lead our team in providing exceptional service to our customers. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring maximum service center efficiency, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staffing to meet volume of work and make sales calls to manage sales team
- Provide direct leadership to all location staff and manage daily operations
- Focus on load plans from origin terminals, monitoring cause and effect, and conduct Safety and Claims meetings with all staff
- Work continually to develop and improve service center staff and communicate goals, issues, and company news
- Monitor results of each direct report and provide feedback and coaching as needed
- Ensure a safe work environment and track and verify service center maintenance
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years Dock Supervisor, Driver Supervisor, or S/C Operational experience required; 5+ years experience preferred
- A working knowledge of AS/400, Windows, and internal systems such as the Dock Yard Management System and the BLU computer systems
