Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to lead our U.S./Mexico operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying profitable business opportunities and developing long-term business growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the Southern U.S/Mexico Sales Operations.
  • Build strong relationships with clients to aid in growing and retaining their business.
  • Develop and execute key growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans.
  • Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals.
  • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends.
  • Motivate, coach, and train Sales Associates, set goals, and hold team members accountable.
  • Oversee novel marketing efforts and build marketing products to diversify our brand across the industry.
  • Attend and represent the organization at trade shows, conventions, and other events or networking opportunities.
  • Prepare all documentation required for RFPs.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of key customer requirements and needs to optimize their network.
  • Input/Manage all new leads and opportunities via NetSuite CRM.
  • Negotiate contracts with both new and existing clients.
  • Continually propose solutions that align with existing customers' objectives, thereby strengthening and expanding our relationships.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure client requirements are met.
  • Ensure appropriate products and services are deployed appropriately to customers in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing departments to implement strategies for new services.
  • Assist in defining sales targets for regional account managers.
  • Keep up to date with internal and external developments.
  • Suggest new ways to increase sales.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and forecasts for both internal and external stakeholders, utilizing key account metrics.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years' of related experience as a Sales Executive, Sales Manager, or similar in a comparable industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field highly preferred.
  • Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent and effective communicator, with the ability to persuade others.
  • Ability to demonstrate upward leadership.
  • Must have or obtain a valid passport to travel across the U.S. and Mexico.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
