New Business Development Manager

At US Foods, we're seeking a highly motivated and results-driven New Business Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for sourcing and developing profitable new business opportunities that can be transitioned to our Territory Managers.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and pursue high-potential new business opportunities that align with our sales and profit operating plans.
- Develop and execute business plans to capture and penetrate market share within our division's footprint.
- Collaborate with Territory Managers to ensure a smooth handover of new accounts and provide strategic support to drive growth.
- Utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to focus on opening new accounts, sales dollars, and gross profit dollars.
- Research and analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity to inform business decisions.
- Work with Category and Segment Specialists to create order guides and pricing for prospective accounts.
- Maintain a pipeline of new, emerging high-potential clients and ensure effective onboarding processes.
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience, with a proven track record of opening accounts greater than $0.5m.
- Exceptional sales and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and drive business growth.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present to large groups.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
US Foods is committed to providing a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 in Connecticut. We also offer a comprehensive benefits program, opportunities for professional growth and development, and a dynamic work environment.
