Event Center Sales and Marketing Director

Overview: Drive sponsorship initiatives, group sales, and special event prospects. Manage customer and sponsor databases along with tracking systems. Focus on creating, executing, and sustaining marketing strategies to enhance effectiveness and meet ticket sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive venue sponsorships, group sales, and special event prospects.
  • Generate and distribute 'Return on Investment Reports' for all venue sponsors.
  • Provide regular updates to the General Manager.
  • Prepare proposals for sponsorship and advertising as required.
  • Conduct outreach through 'cold calls', gather referrals, follow up with existing clients, and seek opportunities to upsell.
  • Oversee the fulfillment of sponsorship agreements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database and tracking system for current and prospective sponsors, including details such as Client Name, Deliverables, Terms, Renewal deadlines, Payments, and Invoice dates.
  • Ensure all signed contracts are stored on the shared drive and a hard copy is kept in the master file.
  • Distribute surveys to patrons following all ticketed events.
  • Develop comprehensive Marketing Plans that incorporate grassroots initiatives, social media, and email blasts.
  • Coordinate event announcements, presale, and on-sale schedules by localizing artwork and scheduling content for social media and email communications.
  • Assist in maintaining outreach to major community organizations to expand databases.
  • Create engaging and unique content for a monthly social media calendar.
  • Exhibit professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with patrons, promoters, vendors, colleagues, and senior management.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Required Skills:
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines while delivering accurate results in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing situations.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, to follow instructions and interact with others.
  • Proficient in standard office equipment and personal computers, including MS Windows, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Expertise in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and other relevant design tools.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all materials meet branding standards and are of high quality regarding resolution, color accuracy, and design.
  • Physical capability to stand or walk for the duration of shifts and lift according to industry standards.
Working Conditions:

This role requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in addition to standard business hours. Physical demands include the ability to reach with hands and arms, walk, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs., and stand for extended periods.
