Guest Services Representative

The Full-time Front Desk Coordinator at the Lake Charles Event Center will be tasked with managing the operations of the reception area and front desk.

This role serves as the initial point of contact for the Lake Charles Event Center, which includes answering the main telephone line, returning calls, welcoming all visitors and guests, and addressing guest inquiries via email with up-to-date information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival and notify relevant personnel of their presence.
  • Handle all incoming calls on the main multi-line system, directing them to the appropriate contacts, voicemail, or addressing them as necessary. Take messages and relay them to employees.
  • Receive, organize, and distribute incoming mail and faxes.
  • Log and manage checks received from clients.
  • Provide typing and clerical assistance as required.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications Required

Minimum educational requirement:
High School diploma or equivalent

  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Exceptional verbal communication and customer service abilities are essential.
  • Typing speed of 35-40 words per minute is preferred.
  • Proficient in reading, listening, and communicating effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
