Position: Residential Sales Consultant

Location: Lake Charles, LA

Role Overview:

As a Residential Sales Consultant at DSLD Homes, your primary objective is to enhance new home sales by offering prospective buyers comprehensive insights into home designs, features, and community offerings. You will serve as a reliable guide throughout the home purchasing journey, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of DSLD's processes, the ability to accurately assess customer needs, and the capability to generate enthusiasm about available options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sales process while providing outstanding customer service.
  • Create and present persuasive sales presentations that align with company standards.
  • Engage in various sales activities, including prospecting, scheduling appointments, showcasing homes, and managing paperwork to facilitate transactions.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout and after the construction phase.
  • Generate potential leads through marketing initiatives and networking with real estate professionals.
  • Participate actively in sales meetings and training programs.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Uphold a professional appearance and ensure model homes are always well-maintained.
  • Possess a solid understanding of the construction process and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Be knowledgeable about financing options and title processes.
  • Collaborate with team members and provide assistance as needed.
  • Exhibit proficient computer skills.

Qualifications:

Financial Accountability:

  • Manage office supply expenditures within established limits.
  • Organize community events while adhering to budgetary constraints.

Education and Skills:

  • High School diploma is required; a college degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in sales.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a proven ability to meet sales objectives.
  • Exceptional verbal and listening abilities.

Customer Interaction:

  • Regular engagement with the public both in-person and through various communication channels.

Work Environment:

  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
  • Job responsibilities may involve travel to various locations and occasional office tasks.
  • The work environment may range from an office setting to active construction sites.
  • Fast-paced setting with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.

Work Schedule:

  • This is a full-time position with hours that may vary from Monday to Saturday, including occasional Sunday work.
  • Weekend availability and readiness to work during off-hours may be necessary.

Compensation:

  • Training is provided with a pay guarantee prior to transitioning to a commission-based structure.
  • Compensation is commission-based, reflecting sales performance.
