Position Summary: The Collections Exceptions Specialist plays a crucial role in the efficient handling of Collection Exception tasks received through various channels. This position demands a high level of precision, effective time management, and clear communication with colleagues, clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounts following insurance total loss notifications, ensuring resolution from start to finish;
  • Gather and document relevant information regarding total loss filings within the portfolio and collection systems;
  • Facilitate communication with vendors regarding account updates and modifications;
  • Provide assistance and support to clients and vendor partners throughout the total loss process via various communication methods;
  • Verify necessary documentation during the estate process and follow up on eligible accounts;
  • Review and determine requests for SCRA protections and modifications;
  • Monitor approved manufacturing buyback accounts to ensure proper processing of payoff funds;
  • Authorize vehicle repair check endorsements;
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations as well as company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with inbound and outbound calls;
  • Strong administrative skills;
  • Ability to analyze and interpret account details critically;
  • Exceptional attention to detail;
  • Proficiency in navigating multiple systems.
