Collections Specialist

CornerStone Staffing is seeking a skilled Collections Specialist to join their team in the North Fort Worth area. This is a long-term opportunity with a premier auto finance company that offers excellent perks and benefits.
As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls from customers and insurance companies to resolve insurance claims. You will review evaluation reports to ensure settlement amounts align with MSRP and work with customers and their insurance companies to obtain vehicle payoffs.
You will also negotiate amounts paid out by insurance companies, review and explain balances not paid out, and process customer, attorney, and trustee requests related to bankruptcy. Additionally, you will manage a queue of assigned accounts, review and process impound/seized accounts, and work with active military customers to verify eligibility and properly code accounts.
Requirements include 1-2 years of experience in late-stage collections, the ability to work independently and within a team environment, high attention to detail, and a high school diploma or GED. Previous insurance claim and/or bankruptcy experience is a plus.
