Job Title: Collections Specialist

CornerStone Staffing is currently recruiting for a Collections Specialist to join a premier auto finance company in the North Fort Worth area. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable company that offers amazing perks and benefits.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls from customers and insurance companies to resolve insurance claims. They will also review evaluation reports to ensure settlement amounts align with MSRP, negotiate with insurance companies, and process customer requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls to resolve insurance claims and negotiate with insurance companies.
  • Review evaluation reports to ensure settlement amounts align with MSRP.
  • Process customer requests, including handling phone calls, responding to emails, and completing internal system tasks.
  • Properly code accounts with the appropriate bankruptcy status in a timely manner.
  • Manage a queue of assigned accounts and review and process accounts that are impounded or seized.
  • Work with customers who are active military to verify eligibility and provide instructions on how to return their vehicle if necessary.
  • Work with family members and/or estate to verify and process options relating to a deceased customer's account.
  • Maintain corporate standards and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years' experience in late stage collections environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • High attention to detail.
  • H.S. diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Previous insurance claim and/or bankruptcy experience is a plus.
