Job Title: Business Development Manager

Job Summary:

Genuine Parts Company is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand filters and heavy-duty product sales to current and new customers at all distribution levels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for communicating and executing assigned categories' strategic initiatives, sales promotions, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Present and communicate NAPA category strategic initiatives, promotions, value proposition, and training materials to store owners and their installer customers.
  • Manage the execution of fleet surveys as needed based on customer demands.
  • Partner with TSM/TMOD to ensure ISO store readiness and inventory levels.
  • Provide field insights to drive sales and strategic category initiatives.
  • Achieve territory sales quota and provide training to store employees on NAPA filters and HD programs.
  • Work as an advisor and business partner with store owners to build long-term relationships.
  • Leverage category expertise to prepare stores for effective inventory management.
  • Organize and lead category-specific sales blitzes in assigned territory.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial targets.
  • Provide top-notch customer service and communication to all accounts in the territory.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of assigned product lines.
  • Provide education and training to customers on assigned product lines.
  • Execute sales plans to achieve business growth opportunities and improve territory effectiveness.
  • Attend and manage promotional events and trade shows.
  • Share marketing intelligence with colleagues to grow sales.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of previous selling and account management experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent sales/marketing experience.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with no DWI convictions within the past four years and not have over three moving violations or two at-fault accidents in the last three years.
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory and work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools.
  • High sense of urgency, customer service orientation, and ability to work independently and as a team player.
