BASIC FUNCTIONS: Under the general guidance of the Director of Admissions and Recruitment, this role is essential for the ongoing development and vitality of the institution. The selected candidate will support the college search and admissions journey for prospective high school and transfer students. The ideal applicant will exhibit a positive demeanor, outstanding communication abilities, creativity, and a passion for a faith-based educational setting. This position oversees the front desk and acts as the initial point of contact for prospective students and their families. The role ensures that enrollment objectives are achieved concerning applications, acceptances, and enrolled students. Availability for some weekends and after-hours work is necessary. The individual in this role must align with the philosophy and mission of the College.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Acts as a member of the Admissions team and is the first individual prospective students and their families interact with upon visiting the office.

Assists prospective students and their families by addressing inquiries, relaying messages, and confirming the admissions process.

Maintains office functionality by managing communications, collecting and dispatching correspondence, and duplicating information.

Responsible for the processing and data entry of applications, transcripts, and additional documents.

Contributes to achieving recruitment targets.

Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Benedict College's academic, spiritual, recreational, social, extracurricular, and financial aid offerings, and conveys this information to prospective students.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Basic office competencies.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Telephone etiquette.

Typing and word processing proficiency.

Documentation capabilities.

Reliability and professionalism.

Attention to detail.

Administrative writing and reporting skills.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate degree.

Valid driver's license.

One to two years of experience in office assistance.
